Colonel Brian Gorski, Chairman of The Fusilier Museum said, “ It is an absolute honour to be awarded an OBE in the New Years Honours list and I am humbled for my nomination in the first instance. I am passionate about the regiment and its connection with Bury which is what drives me to keep going. Museums and the heritage of the regiment are so important not only to me but the people of Bury from where so many of the soldiers in the regiment have been recruited. It is so important we continue to share the stories of the people that sacrificed so much for the freedom in which we are privileged to live in today.”
