Christmas Market to be held in aid of The Fusilier Museum
The Fusilier Museum, Bury are all set to host their first Christmas Market to raise valuable funds for the museum.
The two-day event, which has been organised by the fundraising committee at the museum will take place on the 27th & 28th November 2021 at Castle Armoury and will include a wide range of stalls and activities for all to enjoy.
Over fifty stalls are already confirmed to attend including handmade gifts, locally sourced produce, artisan food and drink and clothes. Santa will also be attending with lots of lovely gifts for the children as well as music and carols from Bury Fire Choir (adults) and Bury Encore Fire Choir (children) throughout the day. There will also be a bar and cafe serving festive refreshments including mulled wine, mince pies and turkey and stuffing sandwiches.
Local charity radio, Roch Valley will also be attending and broadcasting live from the event throughout the two days.
Karan Lee, trustee and fundraiser for the museum said " Fundraising events such as this are so important to raise funds for the museum and we’ve been delighted with the response we’ve had so far from the traders of Bury and beyond. With a wide range of stalls and produce on offer it will be the perfect opportunity to get the Christmas shopping done all in one place. We’re all looking forward to welcoming customers over the two days as well as experiencing some Christmas cheer to get us ready for the festive season.”
Entry to the Christmas Market is FREE and it will run from 10am to 4pm on both days.
The Fusilier Museum is home to the collections of XX The Lancashire Fusiliers and the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. Documenting over 300 years of history and heritage through permanent and temporary exhibitions, the Museum tells the rich and fascinating stories of the people who have served and continue to service in the Regiments.
