This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the day-to-day operational management of The Fusilier Museum and ensure excellent service is delivered across all aspects of the business.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the business as well as supporting the café operator and other members of the team. You will also undertake several strategic tasks to ensure

we remain one of the leading infantry museums in the UK as well as liaising with the board of trustees on a regular basis. You will assist in the preparation of financial reports and manage the day-to-day finances of the business including invoicing – payable and receivable. You will also be the main point of contact for all matters HR related and ensure staff are paid correctly, on-time.

In addition, you will also manage from enquiry to delivery any room bookings or private events we have as well as be responsible for the safe keeping, maintenance and security of the building.

Do you have or are?

  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills

  • Extremely organised and able to think outside the box

  • Be able to produce excellent written reports and an have an eye for detail

  • Flexible, and approachable

  • Ability to deal with the general public (visitors, corporate clients, or regimental contacts) and to manage a small team

  • Have sound financial knowledge and able to multitask/ cope with carrying pressures from both internal and external requirements

  • Good IT skills
